West Shore/ South Shore Honeymoon Rec's

We're traveling to Kauai in mid October for 6 days, then 7 days in Maui.

After doing a bit of research, it seems like staying on the West/South shore might be our better bet for good weather?

Any recommendations on places to stay. It's our honeymoon, so we're looking to maybe stay at someplace romantic and well accomodated (close to beaches, have a pool etc). We're trying to decide between splitting the stay between a hotel and B&B or just stay in one place our whole stay

Any help is welcomed! Thank you!

Stay in one place you don't want the hassle of packing everything up since you are going to be doing this at least once by flying to Maui. Do you have a budget?

Hi Holly,

There is a thread just a few down from yours and it has the same question. Here it is:

I would not split a 6 day stay. Stay put.

i wouldn't split a 6 day stay either. I wouldn't limit myslef to just the south and west part of the island. It is true that the north shore gets more rain - thus it is lusher and greener. But in October, you are unlikely to get constant rain there. Usually just a passing shower or two during the day and maybe some rain at night.

From what you've said, I'd look at Hanalei Bay Resort.
