Interisland flights

What sights do you recommend for best fares on interisland flights. Also, we are planning to spend 5 nights in maui, 4 nights on big island and 5 nights on kaui. Not sure if we should take morning or evening flt from maui to BI and morning or evening flt from BI to kaui. Do we need 4 full days on BI or is 3 ok?

I hear that Hawaiian Airlines is establishing a hub at the Kahului/OGG airport so your interisland flights may be easier that first thought. I can't tell when what month you are flying though.

Keep in mind the check in time at your hotel. If they can't check you in until 3:00 in the afternoon, you may as well take your time and take a 1:00 flight. Factor in that you will be juggling your luggage so check-in and check-out times make a difference.

You could spend a month on the Big Island easy. What did you want to see?

We just want to be able to see the active volcanos, since we won't be able to do that on Maui or kaui.

Then you want to fly to the Hilo side of the island. Maybe fly in in the morning, rent a car for the day, see the sites and then fly back to your original hotel that evening. Know that the odds of seeing flowing lava are slim.
