Garden view rooms Marriott Lihue

Can anyone tell me what the view is like in marriotts garden view rooms? Somehow I get the feeling that it is really a parking lot view...

Thanks.

Thy could be parking lot views. That is the risk you take if you buy in this category.

I've stayed in one twice (Napaguy,, OP is talking about Marriot Lihue, not Sheraton Poipu), one time had a parking lot view, the other time had a nice view of the gardens which are very pretty.

OOPS! Thanks, 55vineyard. We have so many questions here about the garden view rooms at the Sheraton my mind just jumped ahead and presumed that's what were talking about.

I'll remove that post so there's no confusion

Not everyone feels the same way so here are a couple of different attitdues about which unit or views that one might select.

1. The lihue marriot, if you are visitor renters and not time share people you will probably be in the ( ha'upu ) tower. Ocean views are a little limited but still extremely rewarding. You will be facing the pool, and with a view of the pool, some ocean and beach, and the kipu and ha'upu mountains about a mile away. That , they may classify as ocean view, and it is really very nice.

2. We are extremely active and out doing adventures and activities, and swimming in the ocean, and in the pool , and relaxing on the beach, so the extra money for an ocean view is just not worth to us personally , since we are not roosting at the resort.

3. We walk past there most every day on our hikes up to kauai lagoons, and seldom see people sitting out on their balconies . So , they must be out having a good time someplace.

Just what ever feels good to you, and you will know that. If you are not very active and just like to kick back, the view of the parking lot is not going to ring many bells.......cars, some beautful capt cook ( norfolk ) pine trees and other vegeation along the beach access paved road.

You might call the Lihue Marriot and get the straight info on what they are offering and exactly which tower, and view that you will get.

Not sure when you are going to be here, but right now, the Lihue marriot does not have very many guests as all.....so if you come at a quiet time, you maybe able to use that aloha smile and greeting and perhaps get an upgrade.

Never know, and does not hurt to ask.

Denny
