We've already booked accommodation and everything in Poipu for mid september, and decided on the area because it was less spread out and had plenty of nice beaches etc.
I've been reading a bit more, specifically about the time of year and I am a bit concerned because everyone recommends to head for the north shore if you are coming in summer, for the best beaches.
Does this mean that Poipu beaches are rougher in summer - or just that because the north shore is calmer, those beaches now rival/win when comparing to Poipu?
We won't change sides (unless necessary which I assume it isn't) but just wondered why north shore is recommended over the south in summer. I've read the whole north vs south debate so I am aware of the general differences.
Thanks in advance!
