Breakfast on the way to Ke'e Beach

We would love breakfast recommendations for places on the way to Ke'e Beach from Poipu. We will have 2 kids with us, and hope to stop for breakfast on the way to the Beach. Any favorite breakfast stops would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

Lihu`e: Tip Top Motel, Dani's

Kapa`a: Eggberts, Ono Family Restaurant, Kountry Kitchen, Olympic Cafe

Kilauea: Kilauea Bakery

Hanalei: Hanalei Wake-up Cafe

IMHO, Eggberts has the best banana pancakes on the island.

we also would go with the Olympic Cafe.....neat open air style , friendly servers, view from upstairs, and huge and great breakfasts.

Others have their favorites as well.

I too love Ono's pancakes but if you like to eat really healthy don't forget Common Grounds.

Aloha from Kaua'i!

I would go to Tip Top Cafe myself - love the place, the people, oh and the food!

About as "local" as it gets also. And inexpensive.

Definitely Wake Up Cafe in Hanalei! They only take cash but of all of the others ones recommended, I personally think this place has the most character. Great food and you can take in the sights and sounds of Hanalei. it's also the closest to Ke'e Beach.

definitely stop at Kilauea Bakery. They have some fabulous food there :) The bialys and an egg turnover are delish!
