Paddle Board lessons.

My wife would lie to try this. Does anyone have any info on any beginner lessons being given.

We had great experience with Hawaiian Surfing Adventure. They are located in Hanalei and they do their

SUP lesson in the Hanalei River right at the entrance to Hanalei Bay. So it is very calm there and a great

place to learn. They are also one of the cheapest we have found. You can google Hawaiian Surfing Adventure. Have fun.

i also used Hawaiian Surfing Adventures and really liked them. And they let you use the board for another 2 hours on your own once your lesson is over. Well worth the lesson just to learn the correct paddling technique, which is the key to success.

Heads up on some things that are not mentioned and also some suggestions.

1. Not known to the visitors is that the bacterial contamination counts for the hanalei river are off the charts, so think about that if you happen to splash back into the water. Same for the outflow area into the bay. You might take a lesson that is further down the bay.

3. Also, ask if the instructor is going out with you for your first lesson. We see people spending good bucks to take a lesson, and the instructor gives them a 5 briefing on the beach and cuts em loose. The visitor is paying for a lesson, which is really just renting a board and going out on their own.

Point being, do some investigation and learn about what you are going to get for your bags of shells.

Of course, it is up to you to do as you wish .......and what is important to you personally.
