What's the best island for surf lessons?

Hi all.

My wife and I will be in Hawaii in the first two weeks of october (Kauai-Oahu-Maui) and are wondering which island would be the best for surf lessons? Since it's something that we're probably going to do only once (or twice), then when want to make sure we get the best out of it and have the best experience possible. Why would an island be better than the other (for beginners)?

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

You should have good options on any island.

BTW, it's not necessary to post the same question multiple times to different forums. If it's a general question like yours, it only needs to be posted to the main Hawai`i forum. That way you don't get answers all scattered around.

My answer is the same on this forum. Waikiki on Oahu is probably the best. But, choose a surf lesson on the first island you visit.

Waikiki. Best and longest riding beginner waves.
