I need a Lilikoi Margarita recipe like the one at Tahti Nui

Tahiti Nui makes a Lilikoi Margarita that is to die for!!! Anyone have a recipe? I'm giving this one a try, but am looking for others, please:

1 1/2 oz tequila

1/2 oz triple sec

3 oz Lilikoi Cocktail Mix or passionfruit juice (I have Welch's)

Juice from 1/2 fresh lime

In a shaker with ice combine all ingredient. Shake and strain into margarita glass filled with ice. If you prefer you may rim glass with salt. Also great served frozen by combining in blender with ice.

I'd use Cointreau rather than triple sec.

Can you pass me one, 3 Chi? Wait, make it two, one with Cointreau and one with Triple Sec, so I can make a proper judgment!!

Ha! <<I'd use Cointreau rather than triple sec.>>

Exactly what I was thinking 55. And make sure you have a good blue agave tequila. I like a repasado.

But where do you get the Welches Lilikoi juice ???

Yum! I will not miss ordering the real thing at Tahiti Nui in March. I can not wait.... 74 days...

Oh! SW, if you and 3chis get the recipe worked out, you and Nick can join us at the Kapalua Villas for a pitcher of lilikoi margaritas! We can do it when tb4 is there! What do you say 3chis? Jebett? Seaspirt? 55vinyard? Can you make it to Maui for a TA party in March? Anyone else? The lilikoi margaritas will be on me! "okole maluna"

Our next scheduled trip isn't until August......course we could always win the lottery...God knows we try enough.......

OK...so here's what I used.

Jose Cuervo Especial Gold

Cointreau

Welch's Passion Fruit Drink (refrigerated carton from Walmart Neighborhood Grocery)

Persian lime (a friend has a tree, I got way too many)

Next time I will double the recipe and use less ice. It did taste really good, but the ice watered it down too much. I'm pretty sure Tahiti Nui uses a mix with BIG lilikoi flavor.

Sounds like a great working recipe. Let us know when you perfect it! I may try to gather ingredients and work on my own version next week. We are watching YouTube videos of Kaua'i right now. Gorgeous! I would love to get to Kaua'i in summer. My sister and I usually take a trip in August. Maybe Kaua'i next year?
