Reservations for dinner and luaus++

Do they need to be made in advance of my trip? Flying in on 5/25 or can this be done once I’m there?

If you want the Old Lahaina Luau or Feast at Le’le book today. They are the best and they regularly sell out. They also assign seating based on when you book. Many people book many months in advance. If you can’t get in, put your name on the waiting list. In my opinion OLL is the best. Have fun!

Do yourself a favor and download the Open Table App. Lot's of popular Maui restaurants using it and you can make/cancel/modify reservations days in advance. They also "hold" table's just for Open Table users.

If you were trying for OLL or Feast at Lele--call them. Ask to be put on the wait list. You chances are very good to get in, though being over Memorial Day weekend will make it a little tougher.

For the restaurant-same thing-CALL.

Open Table is nice to use but I call the restaurant to make reservations. Not only do I find they have open reservations when Open Table say they're booked, I also find the times that I want.

If you can't get into the luau mentioned above take a look at Drums of the Pacific at the Hyatt. Very good hotel luau.

ALL the restaurants using Open Table in fact use the Open Table reservation system, they don't have a separate list or reservation system. It's all part of their contract with Open Table and they pay a fee for all this. In fact you can walk into a restaurant be told they it's full but by using the app they typically have open tables available.

Clint, that is NOT true for all restaurants. Many do not contract their entire rez system out to Open Table.

I can't count how many times I look at OT, nothing is available.....and presto, one phone call I am set at the time I want.

Wasn't true for Dukes in Waikiki this past December. Tried to make a reservation for a certain time on Open Table and it said there weren't any for that time. Called Dukes personally and had no problem making that reservation.
