Hi again, Kat. So you decided against renting a car at all?
Rent a car--you will end up spending far less and can come and go as you please
Okay, I remember there was discussion before :-)!
I'd check uber, and cabs..............but the most cost efficient is prob going to be one of the commercial shuttles. The drawback is that they make multiple stops. An uber or cab will be all yours :-).
There are several companies that do private door to door service with no stops that runs about $200 for 2 pax round trip From the airport to your hotel and back to the airport.
I had a friend use one and he said they were very good. Sorry don’t have any names but you can Google
OGG airport transportation
Hi A, only a few days before we go now! I really appreciate you answering my query once again. I'm trying to be prepared so we can travel like a local. Or think we are anyway. I'm a bit stuck on how to use uber. Will have to see if my telstra plan will cover it.
Speedi, Executive, etc. do the town car or limo services. They are usually more expensive. A cab will be about 85.00 plus tip, or 100 each way.
Thanks all. I’m onto it now.
Gosh, it’s too bad you didn’t book flights in and out of JHM in West Maui. Are you flying directly to OGG without a stop at HNL? That would be the reason to fly into OGG despite the long expensive shuttle ride to Ka’anapali. If connecting through HNL I suppose it’s too late now for you to change flights?
I’m hoping others coming from international locations might read this and be helped anyway, since most will go through HNL.
