For a week on Maui, and it didn't matter how much it cost, where would you stay?

Aloha MrsReign,

I agree with ChiSue, Makena Surf would be my first choice in south Maui. If you choose to stay in west Maui, I would stay in a beautiful condo called the Ironwoods....one in particular that the Ridge Realty manages....2A for $1,200 a night. You can request a private chef with this unit. It is beautifully furnished and right on one of my favorite beaches, Oneloa. Take a look, I think you will like what you see:-)

Would split time between Hooilo House and Hotel Hana-Maui. Five days at the Hooilo House and two at HHM.

A suite at the Sheraton Maui. Some of the hotels in Wailea are "fancier" and "kissy-kissy-ier" -- but I think that the location and general layout of the Sheraton Maui can't be beat.

If I had all the money in the world -- I'd still stay at the Sheraton Maui.

It all depends on what you want.

I'm voting for split also. Hana is beautiful and so laid back - 2 nights Hotel Hana Maui. Wailea is where the most luxurious hotels are and I'd do 3 nights at Four Seasons. My favorite part of the island though is West Maui. I get bored with the other areas. I'd get any available upscale condo near Kahana for 7 nights.

I have to agree with one of the others, I'd rent a house along the coast, with a cook and maid. Heck, even if I have to cook for myself, it still sounds great
