I am going to the Swap Meet on Saturday! Any ideas for what there is to do around that area afterwards? Thank you!
Or...Iao Valley, then the Maui Ocean Center.
Besure and take a cooler with you incase you buy some fruit and other yummies.
whats better this Maui swap meet or the one that Teresaklc(sorry wrong name i'm sure) was posting about a few days ago at the maui community college. if you had to pick one to go to,which one?
Unless something has changed, it is the same one.
Thanks for the tips! Especially about the cooler for produce!
It is, indeed, the same one. Maui Swap Meet is held at the Community College. I believe the previous post was mostly about the Farmer's Market aspect of the Swap Meet, but there are wonderful crafts as well as plenty of t-shirts and tacky souvenirs. I like to buy fresh flowers for the condo while there; a stalk of white ginger smells particularly wonderful.
If you decide to make the short drive to Iao Valley, a stop at Bailey House Museum is very worthwhile.
I guess some of us are "paper sack" people and others are "Saks 5th Ave." people.
Head up the hill to Kamehameha Schools annual celebration.
Then up to the crater or over to walk around Makawao.
