Questions about children and the law (bars and carseats)

This might be a strange question, but are children allowed in lounges and bar areas in Maui? Just wondering as we will be staying at the KBH and want to take the kids to various hula shows etc and many of them take place in bars. Just wondering what the rules are regarding kids and places that serve alcohol.

And do we need carseats or booster seats for children that are 9 and 11 years old? We are trying to fly with carryon only so would love to leave the booster seats at home.

If the kids are over 80# they don't need a booster. It's a little weird to some folks but oceanfront bars are set up so that there is a small inside "bar" area where kids are not allwed and a much larger outside area where kids are fine. You will have a great time!

if your youngster is drinking you should have a car seat put on the barstool just in case -- i dont think that karaoke machines have twinkle twinkle on them ---- lol

Here's a link. Between ages 4-7 should have a booster unless they are over 4'9" so legally, you could go without. I'm a real stickler for the height thing when the seat belt doesn't fit a child properly at the hips and shoulders.
