where to see waterfalls ?

Hi, We will only be in Maui for four days. We plan to do as much as we can but feel we will not be able to do the Road to Hana this time.

I wonder if we can still drive and be able to see Waterfalls . I always imagine a trip to Maui to be not complete without seeing waterfalls.

Of coarse you can. The experts always say people need 7 days, and want people to drag out every activity.

Do the Road To Hana (RTH) but only go to MM 25. You'll see a few waterfalls, all the beautiful scenery, and won't get burned out on all the switch backs. Don't bother stopping at all the road side stands. You'll see a bunch of cars pulled over. We stopped and asked people what they were doing. They would say it's a stand. We got in the car and kept going. It's like everyone stops just because they see a bunch of cars parked, and figure they need to do it too. See my web page where we only stayed 4 days but saw a lot.

You can do as much or as little of the Hana Hwy. as you want. Twin Falls is basically at the beginning of the drive. I will let you know the best waterfalls are just a bit past Hana. Take a look on the Hana forum at all the info there.

Hana is all about the journey, not to be whizzed by in a car. The pull offs for the most part are for scenic areas that will mesmerize you!!

Maybe you would be able to afford a helicopter tour???? You would see waterfalls then for sure!

We did the Waihee Ridge Trail earlier this month and saw a waterfall in one of the valleys beside us. A local woman jogging up the hill told us that it was unusual to see water coming down though, so it may not be "running" when you are visiting. She said it had only been visible for the three previous days.
