Another wonderful day in paradise. I cannot believe we are on daay 5 already. In some ways it seems like we have done so much, but in other ways it seems like we just got here.
I am already feeling a bit sad that we only have 2 more days at the Kihei Surfside. We absolutely love it here. It is so us. Mind you we can make pretty much any place home and we find fun almost anywhere...but KS is special.
We didn't snorkel this morning for 2 reasons...1) the beach is still closed from the shark attack and 2) my 12 year old had her surfing lesson.
We booked before we left with Maui Wave Riders with a kids price of $50.00. Best part was she could keep the board until 3:00 pm...her lesson was at 7:30 am.
She did great...up on the first try. Very crowded however at Cove Park. She got so many waves in....good use of $50.00....2 hours of surfing including the instruction.
After she was dine we took the board back so we could go have our second breakfast. The surf school gave her a free hat and we bought 1 picture for $15.00. (We could have bought all of them for $25.00, but only one really captured us. It was such a great pic that it looks photoshopped although it was not.
We ate breakfast at Kihei Cafe and really enjoyed it. They are super friendly there. We got their cinnamon roll french toast slam with bacon and eggs for 9.95, a breakfast plate for 8.95 and a loco moco woth pork fried rice. Total for all was about $32.00. Very low key here....and the cinnamon roll french toast with coconut syrup was amazing.
We went to an ABC store as my older daugjter blew out her flip flop, then back topick up the surfboard. They also gave my husband a rashguard and surf shoes to useas well...and told him he could share daughters board. So the two of them headed out for anotjer couple of hours of surfing. Well...daughter surfed and dad spent most of his time falling in the water...lol.
To be continued...
