Casual oceanfront dining/lunch around Honua Kai?

Hi all,

We'll be in Maui in less than 3 weeks and are wondering about any casual oceanfront restaurants that would be within walking distance or a 10 minute ride from Honua Kai. We're looking for the type of place to go to after a day of snorkeling, driving, walking etc. Live music would be great, too.

Thanks!

Aero.

At Whaler's Village, south of Honua Kai, you will find Hula Grill, Maui Fish and Pasta, and Leilani's.

Duke's is right there at Honua Kai. Castaways is in there somewhere too.

Everywhere on Maui is casual!! No need for pants or dress shoes.

If you find yourself up in Napili, make sure you check out the slack key guitar concert. It is every Wednesday night. Reservations are always a good idea. Have your dinner BEFORE the show!

Castaways is at the Maui Kaanapali Villas- a short walk south. There is live music every day at Hula Grill during lunch...sometimes late afternoon at Leilani's. If you go north to Napili there is Gazebo and Sea House. Merriman's in Kapalua is awesome as well..a little fancier (still nice casual) inside for dinner, but has an outside bar for Happy Hour that is great.

Royal Lahaina Hotel is 4 hotels away. Casual, nice view, good salads and flatbread. Little show and music at sunset. Mondy Wed and Fridays they have specials on certain.

Sea House at Napili Kai for lunch. 10 drive North. Wonderful patio with umbrellas or sit under cover.

Great for lunch or heavy pupus.

To the north just a bit is Maui Fish Market...great fish tacos and poke. In Kahana you will find the Maui Brewing Co., good pub food. Neither have views, just good food!

Aloha Mixed Plate is my favorite casual oceanfront restaurant. Fun food, right on the water, very reasonable prices, and $3.50 mai tais at happy hour (2-6). It's one of the few places that we'll visit multiple times, on each trip to Maui. It's about a 5 minute drive, toward Lahaina, take a right on Front Street, by the 5 Palms restaurant.

The Sea House is great for Aloha Hour, especially after a day of snorkeling, since you have three great snorkeling bays within walking distance (Honokeana, Napili, and Kapalua). Leilani's also is great for Aloha Hour Wed-Sun, which is when awesome live music is played.
