Need to book accomodations asap for Christmas!

Hi, I posted last night that we were thinking of coming to Maui for Christmas (Dec. 13-27)...well I just found seats using points so I grabbed them and now I need accomodations! We are a family of four, kids are 11 and 14. Looking to de-stress and relax! We previously stayed at the Kaanapali Shores and enjoyed it but am open to other ideas. We want the property to be ocean front and 1-2 bedroom, hoping to find one for $200-250. I would consider any areas. On prior trips we've visited and liked Napili Beach area, Polo Beach, and Kaanapali. I don't know much about Kihei. I'm usually planning these trips a minimum 6 months in advance so this has me way out of my comfort zone lol!

Any suggestions appreciated!

Thanks,

Mel

Check out Chase'n rainbows. http://www.westmauicondos.com. The availability on a lot will be limited at this time. Polo Beach will be too expensive for ocean front I believe. Check out the Kahana to Honokawai area...beautiful area, most ocean front and more budget friendly. May not be right at a swimming beach but quick easy drives to them.

Car get a car. I just did a quick search on VRBO West maui and there was a decent selection of 2 bd room condos.

Oh how exciting so glad you found ff tickets and a reasonable car rental as per your other post.

My dream is to spend xmas on Maui maybe one day when I can retire.

I took a look at Chasen Rainbows as tb4 mentioned and they do have some 1 bedrooms available 1 at Hale Mahina in Honokowai which I love that is kinda the same area where Ka'anapali Shores is and a few at Kahana Reef in Kahana which is the area past Honokowai.

We stayed at Nohonani this past june in Honokowai it was perfect we are staying there again next may.

I don't know anything about down south but check Koa Lagoon where letsgotohawaiiasap stays I would trust her recc and Kapalua Villas where tb4 stays.

Good luck let us know what you find!!

Exciting news. The holidays in maui are fab. Good luck in your search. It seems there is more inventory then what I would have expected. I booked my condo 6 months ago.

Thanks for all the input. I am looking at every property mentioned. This search is overwhelming to say the least, but I can think of worse things!! ;)

Still searching...any thoughts on the Maui Kai?

Thanks,

Nice place I looked at it for our first trip all units are beachfront and i like the location, there is a grocery store you can walk Times Supermarket. There is also a farmers market across from Honokowai Beach Park on mon, tues, wed 7-11.

The pool at Maui Kai is not beachside but on the other side of the building if it matters.

Hope this helps!

We love this area. We actually stay at the Outrigger Royal Kahana just up the street on Lower Honopiilani Rd.
