Maui Beaches

7 more sleeps and we will be in Maui.

It will be our first time to Maui, we will be staying at the Wailea Marriott, but will be hiring a car.

Just wondering if anyone can recommend the best beaches on the island ?

Ulua Beach is located right below the Wailea Marriott. Great place to swim and snorkel. Just drive down the road and you will find numerous wonderful beaches. Go all the way down to Makena also.

Then, head up to,west Maui and do the same thing. Look toward the ocean and more than likely you will find a great beach.

Kapalua Bay! It's in West Maui, and from there, you can enjoy a walk along the Kapalua Coastal Trail. Just beautiful!

This link is for four different hikes. The Coastal Trail is the last one.

The best thing about Maui is all the beaches that go around the whole island. Going up towards Lahaina from the south you can just pull over and watch the water and people surfing etc. Take your time just driving and exploring. Also go past Paia to Ho'okipa....another fun place to relax and watch what is going on. We usually go there at least once a trip.

Right near you in Wailea is Keawakapu beach one of the best on Maui long stretch of soft sand it goes maybe a mile. Just take a right out of the hotel on the water side and take the ocean walkway to the sand

You can check it out on Google Maps
