Hiking to Ka'ena Point

We would like to hike to Ka'ena Point during our April trip. Anyone have a recommendation on which route is better - from North Shore or from Leeward? Thanks

I've only done it from the Waianae side but it was incredible. I think the northern route is longer, but I'm not positive about that, and I'd feel better leaving a rental car on the northern side vs. Makaha (we went when we lived there so we had a crappy island car). I really don't think you can go wrong with either side as far as the views.

I've hiked it from both sides, and there are incredible views no matter which way you hike it.

Enjoy it and don't forget a camera.

Regards

John.
