No Pearl Harbor Hotels? Amazing

Is it possible that there aren't any hotels near Pearl Harbor? I understand the beach is the main attraction but if someone just wanted to spend one short, quiet night in a nice hotel, is there anything around? Even a good B&B that will take a one nighter? I can't believe I can't find anything. I just want something that's convenient to PH and then the airport but don't want an airport hotel. Can anyone please help me out?

It's quite possible...Pearl Harbor is a working Navy base and there is not much tourism associated with it other than the Arizona Memorial and associated ship museums. The airport happens to be quite close, hence the airport hotels. There is no reason to build a hotel close to Pearl.

Actually, there are couple of "hotels" in the Pearl Harbor area...

They just don't get much publicity in the tourism media as they are primarily oriented towards military users (particularly relocating families) and those doing business on the base; although visitors are more than welcome. And, they are more like a mainland motel than a standard Hawaii resort facility.

There is also the Rainbow Inn Bed & Breakfast in Aiea, upslope a couple of miles from Pearl Harbor. It gets pretty good reviews.
