Alternative to Moana Surfrider please.

This will be our second visit to Oahu. The first time we stayed at the Moana Surfrider. This was a lovely hotel but we felt a little out of place after a big day out, trudging back into the foyer laden with snorkels, flippers and towels amongst such eloquent surroundings and sophistocated bridal parties.

Can I have some suggestions for "nice but casual" Ocean views, King and comfy bed definitely a must. It is just my husband and me past the kids stage. I was thinking of the Hilton Waikiki Kuhio Hotel but not sure.

Thanks...

Jane

Try the Royal Hawaiian, this is also owned by the same chanin Starwood that owns Moana, but, haS A separet entrance for swimmers, the New Otani kaimania, also on the beach, Hyatt regency, is not on the beach, but across the road, but faces the beach-good luck

Wow -- not a very good reason to avoid the Surfrider. You'll run into a similar situation in most nice hotels. This is Hawaii ... the sand and the bathing suits are the norm.
