Are there surfing waves for beginners in March?

We have been to Hawaii in the summer but the kids want to go back for spring break. (March10-17) Are there beginner waves for surfing this time of year?

Aloha,

The summer time is the best.

In March you should find some fun waves in Waikiki.

Kailua, Bellows and Waimanalo might have some small stuff going on.

The beaches I mentioned are nice and safe, most with a lifeguard.

Sandy Beach and Makapuu are the best on the east side, but mostly expert only. Talk to the lifeguard before going in the water at these beaches.

Have a great time.

Aloha

Thanks for the reply. After doing some additional research looks like March is rainy season. We have decided to wait till summer. We really enjoyed our last trip in summer and had great weather and waves.

We have gone the last 2 march's

We arrive just after you are going and the weather has been fantastic. there always seems to be a million and one surfers out there having a blast. My little guy loves to ride the waves on a boogie board.

The spring break is a great time. Plus it will be different than what you have done. Mind you we will be there at our usual time End of march into april.
