Its my first visit to Hawaii in Dec. We are visiting both Oahu and Maui. Which luau should we visit? PCC or OLL?
Sorry, but what does OLL mean? Chuck.
OLL for me.
PCC is more of a show with no mai-tai's available. Not the same as a luau to me.Edited: 05 November 2013, 22:04
Chuck - OLL is Old Lahaina Luau on Maui. Most comments I have seen say it's best luau to attend. We have been and it was great. Food not all that great but no luaus really are that I have been to. But it's a really nice setting and lots of fun.
Thanks. I didn't recognize OLL because I'm never on the Maui forum. Chuck.
You do realize that these are apples and oranges, yes?? The PCC luau can be part of an all-day package. The luau (I believe there are two of them now) can serve as dinner - and there is buffet option as well.
The OLL is very popular as well. My personal preference would be the OLL.
You don't want to attend more than one.
PCC is a much better choice.
PCC has the best Polynesian show (Ha: Breath of Life) in Hawaii.
There are also the villages, each with their own entertainment. Plus the canoe pageant and canoe rides.
With either the Admission Evening Show package with the buffet or the Ali'i Luau package, it is the same $$ or less than other luaus.
How many days on each island?
It takes a full day for PCC to do it best.
We have done both and enjoyed them both very much. They are quite different.
Do you have the time and finances to do both?
PCC would cover it all. The culture and food and show and it can take all day.
Old Lahaina Luau is a Polynesian show (minues the fire knife dancers ) and luau food and is well done.
But the same people own a delux smaller complete Polynesian review with Polynesian food called Feast of Lele and it is in Lahaina Maui. I prefer it over their OLL.
