Another question

Any advice on best, reasonably priced, way to get from Seville Spain to Fez or Merakesh. I assume flying, but maybe ferry and bus????

Suggest you enter "iPhone card" in the search box. There seems to be quite a bit of information available. Both Maroc Telecom and Inwi have solutions and have outlets everywhere, especially at airports and in the major tourist cities.

As far as Seville to Morocco is concerned: budget airline Ryanair run a service twice a week from Seville to Marrakech (currently on Mondays and Fridays) which is very cheap (basic around €30 plus add-ons such as luggage, insurance etc.)

Or you can take the train from Seville to Puerto Real, then a bus to Tarifa (Comes) - not sure how much. From Tarifa take the ferry to Tangier town (cost €39 one way), then a small taxi to the train station (no more than a couple of Euros' equivalent in Moroccan dirhams) and then the train to Marrakech or Fes. There is an overnight sleeper train which leaves Tangier around 9.30 pm each night and arrives Marrakech at 8.00 am the following morning. Train from Tangier to Fes takes around four and a half hours. Check options and prices on www.oncf.ma., which will also tell you if and where you need to change trains.

You say you will be here in mid-October. Please be aware that Eid el Kebir falls somewhere around 14th/15th/16th October, at which time people are travelling the length and breadth of Morocco to spend this important festival with their families, so the trains and busses will be very full, and it's probably best to book ahead.

Data providers in Morocco : INWI , IAM (ITISSALAT AL MAGHREB , MEDITEL , and they are everywhere in Morocco, best way to get to Morocco , Train or coach to Algeziras, than Ferry to Tangier where you can take a train to Marrakech or to Fez

Just a note re post No. 2: If you take the train or coach to Algeciras, you should then buy a ticket to travel from TARIFA to TANGIER TOWN (free bus from Algeciras to Tarifa on the Spanish side - about half an hour by bus). Then it's easy to just hop a small taxi to the train station. However, if you travel from Algeciras to Tanger Med, you have a much longer trek into town to get to the station, although there are busses and taxis.

My choice would be to travel from Tarifa on the fast ferry to Tangier town port.
