Snakes maybe you can still find on Djemaa el fna and you can go from Marrakech and make desert trip, but you need for that at least 4 days.

P.S. but you cannot call the trip to the desert for safari. Safari is more as a wildlife park and in the desert are not so many wild animals to see. Snakes, scorpions, scarabs, desert fox sometimes you can find there, but not some animals like lion, giraffe etc.

Safaris are now a tourist feature of central, south and east Africa by and large to experience the savannahs and wildlife.

"Performing" snakes are a feature of Djemma al Fna and easily avoided if wished.
