Best places to visit with limited time

My partner & I will be travelling to Morocco around April/May 2015. We will have limited time as we also want to visit Spain. Any suggestions on the better places to visit without being too touristy (if possible)?

your question is too general, need to give more info - which city will you fly to? how many days? what are your priorities? Morocco has many options including historic cities, mountains, desert, coast etc

Agreeing with nibrika GeoSim15, Morocco is a large country with a land area as great, or greater, than France or Spain for example. Would you ask the same question of those countries? A guidebook (Frommer's for example) should be your starting point. If you have limited time, less than a month say, then Morocco and Spain are really not worth trying to achieve at the same time.

One way of getting away from tourists and seeing Morocco at its best is to set out on a less frequented trekking route in the Atlas Mountains. The lovely thing about April/May is that you would have the choice of either the High Atlas or the Anti-Atlas Mountains as both of these ranges would be in season. This way, you would have the opportunity to visit remote Berber villages and enjoy some truly spectacular scenery.
