We have just come back from 7 nights all inclusive with First Choice at the Royal Atlas. Fantastic hotel, staff can't do enough to help, food on balance very good. Rooms kept very clean and are very comfortable. Service at times a little slow for us rushed Brits, but hey you're on holiday! Just be warned that shopping can be hard work, they tend to try and entice you into buying things, but this is how they do things in Morocco, if you are not interested just be firm but polite. We found our rep Tom King to be first class and tips he gave very useful. Have a great time, wish it was us again.

Went in November, Great Hotel and great location.

If you like desserts then you are in for a treat. I could have lived off them for the whole week.

The hotel is ideally situated in the centre of Agadirs tourist sector.

You will have direct access to the beach from the RA but just have to cross the new promenade. There is a "private" section reserved for patrons of the RA.

On the old promenade are restaurants where you can have lunch or evening meals whilst viewing the sea or have an ice cream from Ice Legend and watch the sunset over the Atlantic Ocean.

From the beach you will see the Kasbah which you can go up by taxi and have panoramic views of Agadir, the Atlantic and of the port.

You can go to the port on a sightseeing trip; be warned that if you go with a guide he may take you for lunch at a restaurant of his choosing but here you may be grossly overcharged (so he can get a commission) and instead of paying about 60Dh you should expect to pay close to 200Dh per person; I only eat at Laayoune at the port and pay no more than this including a drink.

There is a bird and wildlife santcuary but conditions are very cramped for the large birds of prey.

Souk al Had is the largest in North Africa.

Uniprix is a one stop shop for souvenirs and cheap alcohol/wine.

There is the Petit Train for a tourist sightseeing trip of the area.

Restaurants abound in Agadir although the best are on Bvd du 20 Aout, very close to the RA.

Map available - e-mail required.

I have just returned from RA. I can recomend the Taco Loco Mexican restaurant which is on the same road as RA before the English Pub. Great food but they don't serve alcohol, but being All Inclusive you might be fed of alcohol anyway.

Make sure you don't change all your money at once as there is not much to spend it on unless you do the trips. Also you can't take there currency out the country and once you have gone through passport control you have to pay with Euro's or by credit / debit card. If you change any currency back at Agadir airport you end up with Euro's.

Enjoy your stay.
