Fez camel tour to Merzouga desert,

We are thinking of booking a Fez to Fez trip (4 days and 3 night), we are very interested in visiting the todra gorges, desert and the atlas, we have googled Fez camel tour and we find this itinerary with " camelexcursions.com "

Day 1 : Fez - Azrou - Midelt - Todra gorges

Day 2 : Todra gorges - Merzouga - camel riding

Day 3 : Merzouga - dunes and nomads

Day 4 : Merzouga - Ziz valley - Fez

Our questions are :

- They offer a 3 days 2 night trip and we would like to know if it's better to book the 4 days 3 night or only the 3 days?

- We are 3 people and we would like to have 1 or 2 more people with us, the think we could do the trip starting September 13, anyone interested ?

- In the last day we will drive from Merzouga to Fez, they told us we will be arriving to Fez around 18:00, could we visit the medina by night?

Thanks

Thank you MoroccoPlanet A, tha riad where we will be staying in have told us that there is the posbility to tour the city with a guide, if we take that option and visit the medina with the guide, does that help to be safe during our visit to the medina, we have short time and we would love to know as much as we can.

Peace,,,

Josi, I understand what you would like to do, and believe me Khamlia knows what she's talking about @1.

After you are in FEZ, and if you are not completely exhausted, you can take a guided tour of the medina. Keep in mind that travel by any means is very slow in Morocco.

9. Re: Fez camel tour to Merzouga desert,

What I can say? First day it will be much travel, over 400 km.

How you will go from Midelt to Todra? Via Errachidia? Or turn of in Midelt or Rich towards Imilchil and go that way?

And then? From Tinerhir towards Alnif and Rissani?

On the way back to Fes, if you can go from Midelt via Boulemane and Sefrou you skip to go twice the same way.

10. Re: Fez camel tour to Merzouga desert,

Some good advice from Khamlia @9. If you have difficulty with her English, ask her to say it in other words. Keep trying until you understand.

Just remember, the weather can still be very warm in the middle of September. Be prepared to change your plans as you go along. Enjoy your holiday and don't make it into an endurance test.
