Kitchens in Riads??

May be a silly question...................... we are looking to book a riad for a ten day stay in late September, and were thinking that it would be fun (not to mention cost saving) to sometimes buy produce and cook for ourselves. Is this feasible????? ie do any riads provide self catering facilities???

Many thanks

A few do but I'm afraid you will need to trawl through the websites to discover which ones as self advertising is not allowed on TA. Self catering, even to a limited extent, is a great way to explore local cuisines and possibly new ingredients!

There are some riads that offer self catering, but not so many, and you have to look for them (there are some reviews on TA). And if you go for self catering, you could ask the locals for some traditional recipes and see how it comes out.

Enjoy your stay!

much as i would LOVE to join in this silly game - it seems a bit unfair on the o.p. so here is a sensible answer - look under 'holiday rentals'. some of them are riads in the medina and some offer some form of self-catering facility.

sorry i can't post a link - it comes out as scribble. go to the top of this page and click on 'holiday rentals' in the green line just under the title. do note - the really really expensive one belongs to the poster at #2 - which might explain the proliferation of nonsense posted...
