Shisha cafes in Marrakech

Hi,

I'm currently in Marrakech and interested in finding a shisha cafe. Can anyone recommend or advise?

Thanks

where are you staying?

there are several shisha cafes in the New Town - a few restaurants in the Medina (Le Tanjia and Le Salama come to mind) also have it on the menu

This subject has been done to death. Shisha smoking is not a normal Moroccan practice and where it is it usually associated with other illegal practices.

in the New Town I recommend Cafe Lebanon, if the taxi doesnt know it then ask for Hotel Dellarosa and it is just on the next corner - it is a respectable place so no need to worry about police raids or any such scare stories.

If you want somewhere more upmarket then try the lounge at the Sofitel or the Sky Bar at Montecristo:

We are currently in Marakesh and last night visited La Salama upstairs. We thoroughly enjoyed it, very relaxed atmosphere and a DJ playing background music. Drinks were BOGOF on Moroccan beer and cocktails. We asked for a shisha which was 100DM.
