Exchange for Morroco money in Marrakesh

I will be going to Marrakesh in the next 2 weeks. I will be arriving the airport after 7pm. Does anybody knows if the exchange kiosks at the airport still open for foreign exchange after 7pm, and is it easy to exchange the local currency with British pounds?

Hi,

Yes, the kiosks are open and there are ATM's as well. Have a look at the banks and money information in the top questions box on the right of the page.

Morocco is full of ATM machines, even in most of the towns, so bring your bank debit card, but be sure to inform your bank that the card will be used in Morocco.

Follow Shimmin's advice and read up on money etc. in the Top Questions section at the top-right.

Change enough money for taxi to Marrakesh, only a few miles away. 50 dirham's is enough, they will want 200 but stand your ground. They will say more more more but its only a short drive away. Don't get all money changed at airport as you will ALWAYS get a better rate in Marrakesh. Hotel Ali in main square next to post office Marrakesh offer the best rates and no commission like some charge.
