Riu tikida gardens

We are due to come to Marrakech on the 22nd May. It will be our first visit. Is anyone else going to this hotel at this time or been before. Any information regarding the hotel would be great and any tips for dos and donts in Marrakech itself would be fantastic. It is somewhere that has been on my 'to do' list for a while .....

Hi, I went to tikida gardens at the end of november 2013 with my sister in law, and to be honest we couldn't fault a thing! Trust me if there was anything wrong I would be shouting loudly lol. The rep - Paul was brilliant he worked so hard, even working late and on his days off. I actually sent an email to thomsons about him. We'd forgot to take our own kettle and asked if we could hire one we got a tray of tbags, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits and fresh milk everyday - brilliant. The only thing I would say is you MUST barter for the taxis outside the gates. We were well and truely had. We ended up paying almost £10 each way into the square, it should have been around £5 each way! The gardens at the hotel are really nice mainly orange and lemons nice to walk round. We found the spa abit expensive some treatments were more expensive there than at home!! We're going back to marrakech next week but couldnt get booked at tikida it was full. ask in the bar for a nus nus (coffee) its gorgeous. hope you enjoy being there as we did

Sounds like you had a lovely time. We are really looking forward to it. Marrakech has been on my to do list for some time. I love a good haggle and a barter so will make sure we don't get ripped off. Enjoy your stay next week. Hope you have a lovely time.

Hopefully we will get to meet you there! We fly from Birmingham, myself, my hubby and our daughter. I have wanted to visit Marrakech for some time but my husband has not been too keen. He has however relented so I am hoping it lives up to my expectations!!
