travelling distances?

Hello,

We need some information on driving distances. Please help!

1. From Kruger Airport (south end) to Bathashoop

border in Swaziland?

2. From Bathashoop border crossing to notheast

corner of Lesotho?

We want to enter Lesotho at Moteng Pass which is

near Royal Natal National Park.

3. What is the best route from Bathashoop to Moteng

Pass?

4. From Royal Natal National Park to Qacha's Nek?

5. What is the best route from Qacha's Nek to Durban?

6. Where is a good place to stay about halfway

between Qacha's Nek and Durban?

7. From Port Elizabeth to Jeffrey's Bay?

8. From Jeffrey's Bay to Stormsriver?

9. From Stormsriver to Mossel Bay?

10. From Mossel Bay to Cape Agulhas?

11. From Cape Agulhas to Camp's Bay?

Thank you very much!

Any information you can provide will be much appreciated!!

Try this site as well

www.shellgeostar.co.za/login.asp…

Not too many Lesotho experts on this forum. The roads, I hear, (dodgy info this) are quite bad and many require a 4x4. Bear in mind that most of Lesotho is above 2000 metres (the lowest point is 1400 metres) so none of the passes are for the faint-hearted. Also about 75% of their roads are gravel.

I presume the "We want to enter Lesotho at Moteng Pass" is meant to read "We want to exit Lesotho at Moteng Pass".

Hope some replies with some better info.

lamlee,

No, we will be travelling from Kruger, though Swaziland and want to enter Lesotho at Moteng Pass.

Can we do this?

Then we'll be leaving Lesotho from Qacha's Nek.

Thanks for the reply about the roads, guss we'll rent a 4x4.

Can we take a SA rental car into Lesotho?

We're planning to rent through Carhire, as recommended elsewhere on this site.
