Hello and I can only offer help on the last leg of your journey. The roads are quite good once you get into KZN and improve to very good as you head toward s St Lucia. St lucia is a great spot for the Wetlands plus there is plenty of accommodation, bars and restaurants. If you need more information please have a look at www.safarikzn.com which I contribute towards.

From Johannesburg to Pretoria you need about 1 hour

Pretoria to Entabeni will take about 2 1/2 hours - this really is a fantastic lodge! If you have time book a helicopter flight. It is only for 10 minutes but this is worth its money!

From Entabeni to Blyde Canyon is a very long drive, plan at least 6 hours without any stops! Unfortunately, you will not have time for the morning game drive because this means checking out between 10h00-11h00 and that is too late. You need to plan enough time to find you next lodge during daylight.

From Blyde River to Skhishangeni will also take you about 5-6 hours as your camp is in the southern most point of the Kruger Park and from the gate to your lodge it will take you about 1 hour! This is a super lodge!

From Kruger to Swaziland is a shorter 3-4 hour drive. But please note that you are only allowed to drive 80km/h. Also make sure you get to your accomodation during daylight.

From Swaziland to St. Lucia will take you about 5 hours again without any stops.

The roads are super just in Swaziland the roads are pretty bad and of course in Kruger Park you have a lot of sand roads but good to drive.

Good luck - you are really doing some heavy driving! Rather leave an hour earlier than later.
