I have contacted some travel agencies but seem to be having some difficulties in getting replies.
I would like to work with some one that I can call from the US (or at least skype) and I"m wondering how you seasoned travelers have fared with agencies in SA versus your home country.
I have 3 goals for my trip, one is the 12 days near Kruger with my wife on our very postponed honeymoon. The other is to explore (self drive) as many parks as I can for wildlife photography, and the other is to meet and work with a colleague in Port Elizabeth at Rhodes University as I am going to start bringing University students to the country in 2014. My budget with my wife is mid range, the rest of the time I would like to keep things as cheap as possible and plan to camp 90% of the time to extend my stay as long as possible.
I've read quite a bit and think I could book much of the trip myself but my experiences are travel agents don't charge me more as they make the money from the concession and it would really help to talk to some one that knows the area. And double points for an agent that works with wildlife photographers.
Any suggestions would be very welcomed and thanks.
