Trip to South Africa

Planning a girls 10 day trip to South Africa. We want to do a safari, go to water falls, Cape Town, Durban, Johannesburg, Pretoria. I know we can't do everything but what's some suggestions for us. Planning our trip in July 2014.

Thanks really appreciate the feedback

Trying to fit in all those places in such a short time won't work so already something will have to give. Just in case you don't end up doing just Kruger and Cape Town like everyone else, I'd recommend:

The Midlands Meander on the way to Durban (2 waterfalls, scenery and shopping)

The Walter Sisulu National Botanical Garden in what TA calls Greater Johannesburg (1 waterfall, walks)

The Bryanston Organic Market in northern Johannesburg (no waterfalls but a lovely shopping/chilling experience). Only open on Thursday and Saturday mornings though, and one evening a month in summer.

Hi there!

With 10 days, I would recommend flying into Cape Town, spending 3 nights there. Fly to Kruger, spend 3-4 nights there. Then, drive the Panorama Route to see the waterfalls, sleeping over en route. Fly home from Johannesburg :).
