Itinerary advice please.

We are going on honeymoon to South Africa in December. We will land in Port Elizabeth on Tuesday 16th Dec and have a full week to get to Cape town.

We will then spend 23rd Dec-26th Dec with family. On 26th December we go to Vic Falls to start a week long Safari in Botswana.

We fly back to Cape town on Jan 3rd. We have another week to play around with before flying home on Jan 10th.

So my questions are:

What would you do for the first week? ( Port Elizabeth- Cape town)

What would you do for the Third week? ( Cape town area and whatever else is to be done)

Where would you stay and for how many nights?

We want a mixture of relaxing and activity and we want plenty of yummy meals and sundowners.

I'd really appreciate your help with this . Thanks

1. Re: Itinerary advice please.

You can definitely spend a full week travelling from P.E. to Cape Town, starting with the garden route: Tsitsikamma, Knysna, Wilderness on the way to Cape Town. From Knysa you can head North for day trip to Ostrich country in Ourtshoorn, Also on the Garden Route is Addo National Park (a SAN park with accommodations), Birds of Eden, Cango Caves and canopy tours in Tsitsikamma also a SAN park with accommodations. Activities too numerous to mention for Cape Town. Downtown there is a quite large tourist office with all the information you will need. But if you pick up a guide book on South Africa it will have everything you need. If you want a tour company for any part of this trip I would recommend Cruiselite in Peitermertzburg outside of Durbin.
