please forgive some newbie questions - the roads look so nice and simple and short on the maps in the guidebook...
The next day we leave Karatu, visit the crater, and spend the night at Rhino Lodge.
The following day we head to Serengeti Wilderness Camp which is supposed to be somewhere in the central Serengeti.
This is logical, and does not require any backtracking. My nagging concern is that staying in Karatu makes it unlikely we will be one of the early morning entries into the crater.
So... first question I guess should be, staying in Karatu for the night, what time of day would we be likely to actually enter the crater the next morning?
Question 2. If instead of staying in Karatu, we push on to stay at Rhino Lodge. This gives us both a sunset and a surise on the crater rim. If we get an early start, spend our six hours in the crater, and then head west - what is an approximate time frame for the drive to the central Serengeti?
thanks in advance for your ideas...
