3 days safari

Arriving Arusha end of June. Because of troubles with flights we have only full 3 days for safari.

Is 1 day at Ngorongoro & 2 days Serengeti should be the "best"?

Any other ideas to max. the experience?

When you say 3 days it means 2 nights.

I think Tarangire and Ngorongoro will suite you.Otherwise take all days in Tarangire.

Hope other will come with more Ideas.

I would agree, 2 days at Tarangire, 1 day at Ngorongoro crater.

Please give more details on your specific scenario so we can answer appropriately. For example, Arrive Arusha Sunday night at x pm. Take flight from Arusha on Wed at x am.

Then we can better fill in the time in between to see if you have time for the Serengeti.

Either do Tarangire and Ngorongoro... or Tarangire, Manyara and Ngorongoro.

With 3/days only, you have time for Tarangire (2) and Ngorongoro (1). The Serengeti is too far if driving as it takes almost a full day either direction, leaving barely enough time for game viewing.

Day 1 - Arv (time?) if early in day you can drive to Tarangire, game drives and - o/n lodge or camp

Day 2 - Morning Tarangire; afternoon drive to Ngorongoro - o/n lodge

Day 3 - Ngo - morning crater tour; drive to Arusha/JRO for homebound

That's the easiest and will offer excellent game viewing.

If you wanted the Serengeti:

Day 1 - Arv (time?); flight* to Serengeti - o/n

Day 2 - Serengeti - o/n

Day 3 - Flight to Arusha/JRO for homebound.

*there's a morning flight about 8am, next is afternoon at 2:30pm

If as you first mentioned, Ngorongoro (1) and Serengeti (2)

day 1 - Arv. (time?) drive (5+/hrs) to Ngorongoro - o/n

Day 2 - Ngo - morning crater tour; drive (3.5/hrs) to Central Serengeti - o/n

Day 3 - Drive (8-9/hrs) to Arusha/JRO or fly (1.5/hrs) to Arusha/JRO

Without knowing what time your flight arrives, even above can be thrown off schedule. What time do you arrive? What time do you depart?
