I like that a lot and it will work.

If I may I can make some suggestions:-

1. Bukoba. If you are up for some rustic charm there is a small campsite on the shore run by Billy Rutta of Kirowera Tours. Traditional "grass huts" but nice beds and clean. You may like them or not. I did. Not S/C but clean 'block' along side.

2. Consider "Serengeti Stopover" as an alternative to Mwanza itself. Outside the park gates. I paid $50 per night. Or there is Speke Bay about a mile away which has some Budget accommodation.

28/2. Be aware that after rain that track may not be possible.

4/3. Lake Chala? Camping or one of their lovely Chalets?

Amani. There is a place opposite guest house which used to be the Research centre accomodation. quieter.

Also there is a small Lodge about 5km further into the reserve called Emau Hill.

When in Amani do please try and visit the Ladies Butterfly project.

Tent with a view. Nice. Say Hi to the bushbabies.

Have good time planning. some say this is the best part.

Mfuwe,

Thanks for your ideas. I appreciate you taking the time. I'll take a look at all of them, but I may need a bit of pampering in that I think I need en suite. Having said that, I must admit your grass huts do have a certain appeal.

this shows the Grass Huts if you scroll around. Go on. You know you will love it. Take a torch.
