Luggage Query

Flying Heathrow UK to Nairobi, on to Tanzania for safari and then onto Zanzibar for a beach break. As well as queries about weight, our international flight is 20kg, I have heard that we need soft sided bags rather than cases? Is this true? We were planning to use soft sided small cases rather than hard shell but ours do have a handle and wheels, will they be suitable? Any advice gratefully received. Thanks Liz

Not sure if you are talking about checked luggage or carry on. Still, either way you don't have to use soft sided luggage. As long as your luggage meets the weight and size restrictions you should be ok. Soft sided luggage is better though. It can be squeezed in smaller places as opposed to hard cases. As well with hard cases and wheels, that adds to the weight which can make difference for carry on.
