Parkfees Serengeti ?

Who can tell me how much the park fees are for Serengeti is at this moment? And it is true that you have to pay a fee when you come from Serengeti to Ngorongoro? The same amount as you pay for Serengeti pp? ( Iam not talking about the entrance fees for Ngo 35 usd pp or the crater fee of 200 usd ) Thanks for any help

Here a link to a PDF with all of the park fees and conditions:

tanzaniaparks.com/parkfees/Tariffs_8%20.pdf

It all ads up very quickly to get pretty expensive.

National Park Fees are payable per 24 hours as you enter NPs. As you transit Ngorongoro Conservation Area you will pay their Fees too. This is in addiiton to 'Crater Fees' for descending into the Crater.

You pay NCA Fees even if just passing through from Arusha to Serengeti and again on the way back. Much the same as you pay Serengeti NP fees even if just driving to Lake Victoria non stop.

HI

I think that most of the parks entry fees now have to be pre-paid in a bank where you get a card that looks like a bank card with credit on it , they are not doing pay at the gate anymore.

Thinks thats right?!!

You can pay if you are travelling on a private safari.

But if you are with a company they have to use there TANAPA cards. Which is also the same as cimbing the mountians. It is to stop crime.

Read the website given above, that lists all the fees and 2007 was the last time they increased the fees I believe. Also read the vehicle requirements if you are driving a non-Tz registered vehicle.

Driving from Arusha to Serengeti you will pay to cross NCA. Drive across Serengeti and you will pay fees per day.

Leave Serengeti to visit Ngorongoro and you will pay NCA fees to get to crater. Return to Serengeti you will pay Serengeti again.

Then to return to Arusha, unless flying, you will pay NCA again.

i.e. Each time you pass a gate you pay whether you are game viewing or just transiting.

Crater Visit Fees are extra for those actually descending the crater.

People on the Bus to Mwanza pay both NCA and Serengeti even though they don't get off the bus.

The current NCA fee is USD$50/person.

If traveling with a tour operator (private or group), park fees are prepaid onto a "swipe" -type card that your guide/driver holds and uses upon entry at all parks.
