honeymoon tips and advice

hi there,

We are headed to Zanzibar in Jan 2013 for some rest and relaxation after a safari in Tanzania. We are looking for a wonderful place to stay thats mid range budget - 100-150 per night. we would like somewhere romantic with a nice quiet beach for swimming and louging, but also close enough to a village where we can eat at different places and do some wandering. do we need to book in advance or would it be possible to wander around while there and stay at varying places? we aren't big partiers so night life is not important. thanks!

According to when in January you will be there, you need to know that this time of the year is a very high season there. That means that accommodations get fully booked. For that reason I would suggest that you do your booking in advance to ensure that you will not be sleeping on the street or in some hostel.

The budget is of Standard as per your preferences and that time of the year is a peak season.

The place to suite that preference is North Coast (Nungwi Village area) and East Coast (Paj Vilage Area).

Hello Merissa

My fiancé and I are going to Zanzibar after a safari in Kenya.

We chose OCEAN PARADISE hotel because our friends went there last year in May and they loved it.

We'll go in late June so I can let you know if all went ok.

Hello,

I agree with the above, you will need to book in advance, of course the best options are always the first to go! Take a look at Nungwi and the southern section of the east coast. Please also remember that some parts of Zanzibar are isolated and quiet, with little infrastructure outside of the hotels. If in doubt speak to a specialist who will be able to help.
