Last year coming back from Gambia paid for this service as had tight rail connection. My bag was actually included in the last batch to reach the carousel. The only saving grace was the offer included 5 pounds deduction from duty free - so didn't really lose out. Whether this service actually works most of the time, I am not sure. For me really complete waste of money.

I don't know how common it is to wait for baggage at Enfidha.

When we went last Summer we queued for exactly an hour to go through Immigration, went down to the baggage carousel and lots of people but no baggage and we waited over 30 minutes for the first lot to come out.

I don't know how common it is to wait for baggage at Enfidha <<< seems very common, chrissy. If you don't get hit for immigration queue then baggage wait - very unlucky and get hit with both.

No point getting your bag first when the coach won't leave until the last person is on!

If your doing taxi transfer then maybe.

The wait for bags is horrendous. I don't know if you will get it any quicker...maybe just first after a very long wait (2 hours for me on one occasion)

Another gimmick in my view

A bit like the bag drop quick check in !

Oh, is that right ?

At Edinburgh airport a couple of weeks ago.

Thomson bag drop queue was longer than the "normal" queue.

How will this "priority bags " work if 95% of passengers take advantage of it .

No advantage there then. Is there ?

Also as earlier muted by others, Immigration/Control could delay you anyway

Not convinced at all.

AS for the money off voucher for duty free shop

Well that is one way to get you in there spending money

What can you get for a fiver ?

Toblerone ?

Cynical ? Who, me ?

So what next from our tour operators ?

Am i just lucky all the time or what?

Never queued no longer at Enfidha for check in, passport control, security, collecting bags etc for no longer than 30 mins.. And that was check in last April 13. Lol.

Never waited longer than 10 mins for bags.

Altho, we will see what September will throw at us on Sunday 28th, lol.

You have been very lucky Julie. Although I dont moan or complain about the wait usually.... Its part of the holiday.
