Visa needed for Irish Passport Holder?

Hello, new TripAdvisor member here. Can anyone give me a 100% definitive answer as to whether an irish passport holder needs a visa for entry to Zimbabwe? I've read on a couple of sites that Malta, Cyprus and ireland are exempt. Thanks for any advice in advance!

We went out to Zim in April 2006 and it was US 50 for a single entry visa...if you are only crossing from Zambia for the day i think the visa is cheaper......but like most of Africa things change daily!!!

From the website of The Irish Embassy in South Africa (which handles Irish affairs in Zimbabwe)

"Irish passport holders travelling to African Countries - Zimbabwe - Visa Required"
