What do you think Chobe/Safari

Going on 3 day safari in Timbavati. Then at Victoria Falls for 3 days. Is it really worth to do another Safari at Chobe? Or would the Chobe River Cruise be sufficient. What are your thoughts/opinions. Thanks for input.

you can do a one day chobe safari from vic falls if you don't want to pack up and move again..it includes both a land and river safari..we loved Chobe and I would highly reccommend it..sorry I didn't have time to spend more days in Chobe..the water portion is great! enjoy and keep on traveling

Hi Rayhe - The game at Timbabvati is very good and depending on which camp you are staying at you are more than likely to get good sightings of the Big Five and lots of other animals as well.

So if you just want to see game probably not worth going to Chobe. However the landscape and whole safari experience at Chobe will be completely different to that of Timbabavti. It's tough to beat the beauty of the Chobe river and you would certainly not regret spending any time there.

However you only have 3 days in the Falls and that is not that long really as there is so much to do and see in Victoria Falls. Taking a whole day out to go to Chobe might not be suitable for you. You could consider a morning or afternoon game drive or walk in the Zambezi national park, right on the doorstep of Victoria Falls. The game is not as prolific as at Chobe (but you will have seen lots of Game already) but the park is beautiful right along the banks of the Zambezi River. It's a great game experience and might just fit in with your schedule better.

Tough choices to make, but which ever you make you wont be disappointed as they are all good.
