Planning the trip was a large responsibility given that my father, although in wonderful shape, is 80 and has just been diagnosed with Parkinson's. Ermias, with his perfect English, met us at the airport, and from that moment until our sad parting he provided us with excellent service, limitless information, wonderful food and a feeling of genuine adventure while being perfectly safe. Stunning Ethiopia tours helped to fulfill my father's dream to go to Africa and left us all wishing our trip was longer.
As far as details- We traveled the Northern route and visited Harrar. Ermias ensured that we were at the best hotels available, every meal was delicious, the van service was prompt and modern. He helped us to negotiate purchases and advised us according the local customs. A unique aspect of Stunning Ethiopia tours is that Ermias will travel with you the whole trip. I found that to be the best part as it was comforting to know that he would help us negotiate the airport, we did not have to wonder if our ride would be there for us and we did not have to accommodate to a new personality every few days. I knew my family was safe which allowed us to truly enjoy Ethiopia.
A side note- I would have loved to have also visited the South, unfortunately time did not permit us to do so. However, when the opportunity arises, I will return and use Stunning Ethiopia Tours. I have also recommended them to a few friends who have had equally spectacular experiences. Ermias can satisfy a group of young, adventure loving tourists as well as a more conservative, stately group!
