how to get to Tanji by bush taxi

Im staying in Cape Point in November and want to get down to Tanji to go to the nature reserve / bird sanctuary. What's the best way to get there by bushtaxi? Can I get a bushtaxi direct from Westfield Junction or do I have to change at Brikama or elsewhere?

Bush taxi from Cape Point to traffic lights - bush taxi (yellow taxi) to Senegambia - 5 dalsis - taxi to Brusubi - 10 dalasis then Bush taxi to Tanji - not sure - maybe 10 dalasis - but that part is tricky depending on the time of day. Sandy?

Heledd is more or less right. You have to walk to Bakau (where the harbour is where the fisherman bring in the fish) then a bush taxi to Traffic lights 5 dalasis, bush taxi to Senegambia d5, senegambia to turntable d5, then bush taxi to Tanji d5. No problem getting a car to Tanji during the day it is just evenings after about 7.30 they are few and far between and after 8.30is non existent! Coming back it is d7 from Tanji to turntable (only in The Gambia!) Don't go to Westfield though it is very complicated from there! By the way the journey takes about an hour going local!

Do the yellow taxis stay to set routes? So...... Senegambia to Bakau is 2 taxis changing at traffic lights? (I mean without booking a "Town Trip").

....... and does that mean that all the yellow taxis on the Senegambia/Bertil Harding Highway are going to the same places North and South?

The yellow taxis that are not for town trips all have set routes. Yellow taxis in Senegambia/Bertil Harding Highway all going to Traffic Lights. Senegambia to Bakau is two taxis yes.

So no matter where you want to go South from Senegambia - you have to change taxis at the turntable - is that right?,

i.e., Sukuta, Yundum, Brufut.

Yes thats right, sometimes if you are lucky you will be in a car that is going on to those places and you just pay the extra 5 dalasis then. Just ask the driver if not then change at turntable.
