I had the worst flying experience ever with Gambia Bird recently on a trip from Monrovia, Liberia to Dakar, Senegal. I was sold a ticket online for a return flight on Friday Dec 20, 2013 and I was never contacted beforehand to let me know of their schedule changes. On the day of the trip, I spent 3 hours at the airport before their staff finally realized I was heading to Dakar and told me that I would have to wait for the next flight on Tuesday i.e. in 5 days and on Christmas Eve. And no solution whatsoever was forthcoming, I was not offered any compensation for the extra 5 days (food, hotel, transport, etc.) and on top of that it was quite a struggle to get a ticket reissued for the next flight... I am still waiting for a response to my email to their customer service. They deleted a comment I posted on their facebook page within a minute and still no response! It's appalling how they can just get away with getting customers stranded in a foreign country for 5 days due to total negligence on their part. Beware!!!
