Honeymoon Bel Ombré

Hi,

We're coming over in October for our honeymoon and looking save room/weight our travel bags.

Has anyone got any guide prices for sun creams, deodorants in the Bel Ombré area?

Thanks, Andy

Hi Andrew,

Suncream is one thing you should bring from the UK - its very expensive in Mauritius and there are no big supermarkets at Bel Ombre as far as I know - I think someone mentioned a Winners there.

If you are flying direct with no stopover in Paris or Dubai then consider buying airside duty free in the UK?

Much better to get in the UK IME.

Hi there,

The most convenient place to buy it would be at the airport - 15euros for a Nivea sun spray SPF30 for example (saw the price this August)

If you have the time (and ideally a car) the cheapest option is to go to a big shopping mall with a supermarket such as the big Grand Bay Mall or the huge Bagatelle shopping mall (Mall of Mauritius) near the highway at Quatre Bornes (around 40 minutes from Bel Ombre)

Enjoy!

Thank you for your replies - looks like we'll chance our arm and get them air side - this won't effect our baggage allowance
